Through fascial palpation of the bones of the skull and sacrum, it evaluates the forces affecting the body&#8217;s other systems.<\/p>\n<p>The first person to study the effectiveness of cranial sacral therapy was Sutherland, a pupil of A.T. Still, over 100 years ago, who later developed what we now define as <strong style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/osteopatalisboa.pt\/en\/biodynamic-osteopathy\/\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Biodynamic osteopathy<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The structures are part of sacro-cranial osteopathy: bones, skull membranes, brain and spinal cord; the fluids are mostly represented by cerebrospinal fluid.<\/p>\n<p>The sacro-cranial system moves at its own pace of 10-12 cycles per minute. This rhythm spreads throughout the body and can be felt anywhere in it. This system has a major impact on all the body&#8217;s other systems, arterial and nervous.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Cranial sacral therapy balances the nervous system, reduces bodily tension and improves bodily and mental functioning.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Maintaining the normal rhythm of the craniosacral system is of paramount importance in osteopathy, as general health depends on normal cranial rhythm.<br \/>\nChanges in this system occur mainly due to changes in the pressure of the cerebrospinal fluid and its pulsations.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the quality of these changes, a person&#8217;s physical and emotional state changes, both positively and negatively.<\/p>\n<p>There are special osteopathic techniques, applied to the skull and sacrum, which are able to influence and alter this system.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Cranial sacral osteopathy is very effective for:<\/h3>\n<p>&#8211; Blood circulation in the brain and body<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Osteopathy for babies<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Intensity of chronic pain<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Stress and the nervous system<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Psychosomatic pain<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sleep\/wake rhythm adjustment<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Pelvic problems<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Headache<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Pubalgia<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Lower back pain<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Cervicalgia<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fibromyalgia<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The patient may feel a significant improvement in their health after their first visit to the osteopath.<\/p>\n<p>This approach is used in children&#8217;s osteopathy to treat babies.<\/p>\n<p>Cranial sacral therapy is non-invasive and the patient feels the therapy as a light touch of the osteopath&#8217;s hands on their body and head.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4684,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4807","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.8 -
